ArtistShare is a crowdfunding service; a business model for musicians which allows them to fund their projects outside of the traditional recording industry model. It utilizes a "fan-funding" model to allow the general public to directly finance; watch the creative process of the recording; and gain access to extra material from an artist. ArtistShare is a platform that connects creative artists with fans in order to share the creative process and fund the creation of new artistic works. It has been allowing fans to show appreciation for their favorite artists by funding their projects in exchange for access to the creative process; LTD Edition recordings; VIP access to events/recording sessions and even credit listing on the final product.
